When do you install docks in the spring?
We start as soon as the ice is off and work through the spring on a scheduled route. If you're on our seasonal list, you don't need to call — we'll be there.
When do you remove docks in the fall?
Fall removals run from early fall until freeze-up. We schedule by lake and area so we're not driving back and forth across the metro.
Do you offer seasonal service?
Yes. Most of our customers are on a seasonal agreement where we put the dock and lift in each spring and pull them each fall automatically.
How do I know what size boat lift I need?
It comes down to your boat's weight, your water depth, and your lake bottom. We'll do a free site evaluation and size it properly — an undersized lift is the most common mistake we see.
Do you repair docks you didn't install?
Yes. We repair docks and lifts regardless of who sold them.
Do you handle storm or ice damage?
Yes, and we offer emergency service. Ice movement over the winter is the most common cause of damage we see in spring.
What brands do you carry?
We sell and service Barrel dock systems and ShoreStation boat lifts, and manufacture our own cedar deck boards.
What areas do you serve?
Lake Minnetonka and the west metro — roughly a 30 mile radius around Norwood Young America.
